There appear to be a growing number of “MLM Downline Builder” systems, scripts, and software on the Internet. Similarly, the number of online “Multi-level” marketing schemes has been steadily increasing. The Internet is an excellent marketing tool.
It’s less expensive than the way we used to promote five or six years ago, when I was involved with them, by distributing to prospects via ordinary postal mail.
You also had to pay for printing and envelopes back then!
The MLM Downline Builder has grown in popularity in recent years as a means to attract individuals to one or more programs. What is the definition of a downline builder program?
I want to state straight away that I am not opposed to downline builders or MLM schemes; they are both excellent methods to generate cash. However, you must enter them with some understanding of how they function.
The MLM downline builder is essentially a marketing strategy in which prospects are put after joining up. The organizational structure of the plan differs by program. It can be a straight line organization, with one person directly underneath another, or two on the first level, four on the second, eight on the third, and so on.
There are so many various methods to set it up that it would be impossible to cover them all here.
The downline builder’s core premise is to create a downline that works for you, therefore lowering your initial marketing expenses. It is also intended that as your downline grows, it will eventually follow you into the products and services that you offer within your MLM downline builder.
The MLM downline builder setups are usually FREE to join, regardless of the structure.
That is what first pulls so many people to them. Most of them advertise that joining up would allow you to earn X amount of money each month or year. Many individuals fail to know that simply being a member of the MLM downline builder would not earn them any money.
Because the downline builder itself is free, no money is made on the so-called “front-end“. The promoters aren’t going to pay you out of the kindness of their hearts, especially when there are other options available.
There are tens of thousands of individuals engaged. You will be invited to join a money-making program at some point throughout the MLM downline builder process. In most situations, you will be required to commit to a monthly payment for some sort of product at this point.
This is the point at which “the rubber hits the road,” as they say, which is very important in the process.
It is at this time that you may see a significant dropout rate of folks in your downline who are unwilling to spend $25 or $50 per month to join the main program.
The software had been free up until this time. You might have 300 members under you, but only around two or three percent will stick with you. When these people go, the gaps will usually be filled by others higher down, but the cycle will continue. Again, I’m not against the procedure; I just want to point out that it may be annoying if you don’t realize it could happen, and if you went into it expecting to make a quick buck, you may be twice as disappointed. It will take time!
Here are some pointers to think about…
Check it out before you join a free downline builder.
Determine the major software or programs you will use.
In order to begin earning money, you must enroll later in the process.
— What is or are the product(s)? Are they the kinds of goods you want to be engaged with, use, or sell?
— How much will it cost you every month until you break even? I noticed a popular online program the other day, and the ultimate income scheme was a nutritional program that required you to spend more than $75 on goods each month. Find know ahead of time so there are no surprises afterward.
And don’t join a downline building program if you don’t know what the eventual primary program will be.
You don’t want to invest a lot of time and money establishing your downline just to discover that you can’t afford the product or don’t like it!
Remember that the downline builder is only a stepping stone into a network marketing or multi-level marketing enterprise (both the same). You will not make money with the free downline builder; you will make money with the income-producing software later on, which you will have to pay for. Examine them thoroughly and make an informed decision if you decide to join one.
